I was quoted 400 baht for a full-body oil massage. The massage itself was excellent, and the masseuse was very professional. However, at the time of payment, the owner told me there was an additional 100 baht "house fee." This was not mentioned when I first discussed the price. I paid the extra 100 baht, although I felt surprised and dissatisfied by the unexpected charge. In my personal opinion, it’s best to confirm all fees in advance, especially for foreigners, to avoid misunderstandings. My experience may be unique, and others may have different experiences. Ensure to specifically ask if there is a "house fee" before proceeding. I am half-Thai, of which I possess passable speaking ability. More to the point, I understood the price going in, and was demanded an additional fee going out.
